The restaurant never disappoints - except when you can&#39;t get a table - so always book even for two people. Bring your own - but they also serve their own beer. Salt and pepper squid, beef carpaccio and the pork Bun Vermicelli are my absolute favs. Such good food at such an affordable price. Staff are lovely too. Only thing I would say is get better lighting - a bit more ambience for the evening would make it even better.

This place is great! Really, really good food and exceptionally friendly service and all for a super reasonable price! Can&#39;t wait to go back and try some more of the menu.

We were very pleased with our visit to the Gurkha Cottage. The menu had some familiar dishes but plenty of unusuals to try. We had the Lamb momos and Prawn puri followed by the staff curry and the five treasures chicken, with a keema nan and coconut rice. The food was excellent with good sized portions. The service was well timed. The staff were very friendly but not pushy. My only slight niggle is the 10% discretionary service charge added to the bill. But we will certainly return on our next visit to London

Tried to get in here on several occasions but booked this time. The restaurant is small and basic inside but this adds to its charm. Just what you would imagine an old Vietnamese cafe to be like. The food service and VFM is excellent. Satay chicken, summer rolls and salt and pepper squid very tasty and my main course of Hanoi fish yummy. Will definitely go again soon.
